What is a negligee?
A negligee is a sheer or semi-sheer nightgown, usually in lace, chiffon, mesh or satin. The word comes from the French négligé, meaning casual or undressed. It is worn for bed, for occasions such as a wedding night or honeymoon, or layered over a slip. Read our full guide: what is a negligee?
Is a negligee the same as a chemise?

What do you wear under a negligee?
Most of our negligee sets include a matching thong or G-string. With a sheer style you can also layer a satin chemise underneath.
